Michele returned to Ready Funeral Home in 2002 after spending 8 years in Boston in the financial services industry. Michele is the daughter of the late Bill Ready and the granddaughter of the late George Ready. She is a 3rd generation Ready to work in funeral service. She was born and raised in South Burlington graduating from South Burlington High School in 1991, Michele also has a Bachelors in Business and became a licensed funeral director in 2007.

Michele and her husband John have three children, twins Gabriella who attends UVM and Jack who is attending the College of the Holy Cross and the youngest Sydnee who is now a freshman at the College of the Holy Cross joing her brother.  Michele is active in her community and her children's schools. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family at the lake and traveling for leisure and to watch Jack play baseball. Michele is proud to carry on the family tradition of service to the community.

John joined Ready's in 2003. He graduated from St. Michael's College in 1993 with his Bachelor's Degree. After spending many years in the financial services industry in Boston, John decided to join Ready's serving families in the community. He has been a licensed funeral direector since 2007 as well as a CANA Certified Crematory Operator.

John has a love for the outdoors and in the summer enjoys biking and spending time at the lake with his family. He is also an avid sports fan. John is active in the community of South Burlington and loved being a baseball and basketball coach for his children growing up and now enjoys traveling to watch them play in college.   John has a great respect for his father-in-law Bill and will continue to serve families with the same dedication they have become accustomed to.

 

David Muha

David A. Muha was born and raised in upstate New York in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. He became interested in the funeral industry at an early age and began helping at several local funeral homes for several years. David became officially licensed as a funeral director/embalmer in 1998. He received his Mortuary Degree from SUNY Canton in 1997 and previous received a certificate in Business Management from St Lawrence College in 1995.

David has since held administrative positions and hands on funeral directing positions for the last 25 years and has gained a vast working knowledge of the industry.

He retired in 2018 and after a short time decided to return to the industry. David vacationed with friends and family in Vermont enjoying the beauty of the area and decided to move and live here full-time. He began his employment with Ready in April 2023.

Traveling, spending time with family and friends and researching family history are a few things he enjoys during his spare time.

Jennie A. Shepich

Jennie was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and relocated to Vermont in October 2023 to join the Ready team. After working at a financial institution for over a decade, she decided to shift gears and pursue a career in funeral service. She served her apprenticeship in Michigan and graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, IL. Jennie has a true passion for serving others and takes great pride in helping families navigate through the difficult and trying times. She currently resides in South Burlington with her husband, John and their dog, Archie. In her free time, Jennie enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, traveling, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

Patrice joined the Ready family in February 2022. 
 
Patrice is a native Vermonter, the youngest of 9.  She graduated from Rice High School and earned a bachelor degree from Clarkson University.  After a career in the software industry in and around the Boston area Patrice returned to Vermont and owned and operated Home Instead Senior Care serving hundreds of Vermont families over 13 years. 
 
Patrice has a passion for helping families.  In her free time Patrice dabbles in antiques, practices hot yoga, spends time on the lake, loves to ski and spend time with her family and dog Luci and cat Starlite. 
 
 

Donald Dukette

Donald Dukette has been part of the UVM Medical Center for almost 25 years and counting. During that time he has lovingly helped hundreds of family navigate the grieving process but he always wanted to provide a little more, so in 2021 he became part of the Ready Family.  Here he can lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on while helping a family navigate some of their hardest decisions.

Donald is a father of three wonderful young children and husband to Bethany, a very understanding and  loving wife who understands his passion for helping people.  Donald is native of Vermont growing up in the New North End and finally growing his family in the Milton/Fairfax communities. Although he has very little time for hobbies he does find time to enjoy watching his children grow in sports, he tries to garden, he enjoys the private time hunting with his son and occasionally going for a ride on his snowmobile.

Garrett Cournoyer joined us in August 2023.  While new to Vermont funeral service, Garrett is not new to funeral service as he will be the 5th Generation at his family owned funeral home in New Hampshire.

Garrett is currently a senior at St. Michaels College in Colchester and is a Captain on St. Michaels Fire and Rescue.
